iPad Apps for ParalegalsAre you a Paralegal who uses an iPad? Using an iPad can help you be more productive when you are away from the office. So, for those of you who are currently using iPads or if you want to start utilizing them, here is a list of iPad apps that will help you get things done on the go.

CalenMob (free)
This Google Calendar app makes your schedule more accessible, responsive and reliable on both the iPhone and iPad. It also gives you access your calendar, create and change appointments from anywhere on your iPhone, iPad or computer with or without an internet connection. If you make changes while offline, they be synced back to your Google account the next time you are connected.

DropBox (free)
DropBox is an online storage space that makes it convenient to save your files, documents, pictures, etc. You can access your files from anywhere with internet access with just your username and password. Like other apps, DropBox can sync with your computer, phone and iPad so you will never lose your documents, even if computer crashes.

Scanner Pro (2.99)
Scanner Pro transforms your iPhone and iPad into portable scanners. It allows you to scan receipts, whiteboards, paper notes and even multipage documents. During depositions, you can scan notices and exhibits so that they opposing attorney can retain ownership. Instead of basic pictures, Scanner Pro converts photos into professional PDF files.

Pocket (free)
Pocket, formerly called ReadItLater, is a free app that makes it easy to save articles for future use. This app can come in handy for down time between depos or trail recesses.

iWork (free on new iPads)
iWork is similar to Microsoft Office with a word processor (Pages), spreadsheet program (Numbers) and presentation software similar to PowerPoint (Keynote). With iWork, you can open, create and edit documents on the go.

Microsoft Office (free with subscription to Office 365)
If you use Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint 365, you can work on documents on your iPad. The apps are free, and home versions of Office 365 are $9.99 per month or $99.99 for a one year pre-paid subscription.

AudioNote ($4.99)
AudioNote lets you link audio recordings to written notes. Once complete, you can click on a section of your notes and listen to the audio associated with that moment. This can be helpful for recording ideas or memos to yourself quickly when you’re in meetings, depos or trials.

Clear ($2.99)
This productivity application is perfect for busy people. It helps manage your day-to-day responsibilities and to-do lists. When you’ve accomplished a task, swipe it away to see what is remaining.
