Wind. Rain. But at least there’s hot coffee, right?
Those of you who expect your java jolt at your favorite New York Starbucks will have to find an alternative coffee spot.
The popular coffee chain closed all New York City store locations on Sunday, October 28, ahead of hurricane Sandy’s arrival. Signs in Starbucks locked doors read “Blame the weatherman. Not us. Sorry, but we’re closed due to inclement weather.”
A spokesperson for Starbucks said that the reason for the early closures were most employees rely on public transportation. MTA halted bus and subway service Sunday evening.
Other locations in the region will be closed as necessary.
